We are seeking a driven and innovative Occupational Therapist to join our team in delivering family-centred services to children and their families. This is a fantastic opportunity with extensive learning and professional guidance in interventions for neurodiversity, meaningful engagement, sensory integration, and strengthening your clinical reasoning.

Role responsibilities:

  • Providing assessments and interventions, to clients, based on collaborative, family-centred goals.
  • Provide 1-to-1 therapy to clients in the centre and schools.
  • Provide caregiver’s education around the child’s therapy goals and recommendations.
  • Develop, conduct, and review individual therapy sessions, practise good communication on the intervention plans and outcomes to families, adjust intervention plans as needed to ensure engagement in sessions.
  • Document clinical notes and client progress
  • Collaborate with child’s care team members (i.e. carers, education setting staff) for skills generalisation and therapy progress.
  • Provide group therapy programs to clients in the centre.
  • Maintain workplace professionalism and display good interpersonal skills amongst team and stakeholders.
  • Caseload: The caseload for this role consists of early intervention, and school age clients. We provide services to children with a range of diagnoses under NDIS, Medicare, or private funding in centre and in schools.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • A current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner’s Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • A current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
  • A current Working with Children Check.
  • A current First Aid and CPR qualification.
  • Open Australian driver’s licence.
